Planet Erasmus

How we work

Planet Erasmus is an independent portal of exchange opportunities in Europe: open places in Erasmus+ and other European programmes, checked and with an expiry date, plus news about exchange life. It is not an official website of Erasmus+, the European Commission or any national agency.

A portal and a tool

Planet Erasmus works alongside Erasmus Kit, a free tool that works out your grant and how much money to pay up front, checks housing ads for scam signs and compares what each national agency pays. The Kit calculates and checks; Planet Erasmus reports what is happening and why it matters. Every article links to the specific Kit page that helps with that topic.

The opportunities board

The board lists open places in three strands: study and live abroad, train and work abroad, and calls for organisations. Every place is checked against the official source before it goes up, shows when it was last checked and disappears on its own when the deadline passes.

We do not collect applications or personal data: each place’s button takes you to the official page where you apply. We only count how often it is clicked, without cookies or IP addresses, to learn which places interest people. Publishing a place is free; organisations can write to hello@erasmuskit.com.

Where the figures come from

Every figure comes with its source and the date we checked it. We favour the original document (the university’s call, the national agency’s rules, the Programme Guide, the full survey report) over what other media report. Each article ends with a list of sources, and each one says whether we verified it in the original document.

Grant amounts change every year, and in many countries each university picks its own within a range. That is why we always say which academic year a figure refers to and who it applies to.

When we get it wrong

If a figure is wrong or out of date, we correct it in the article itself and say so with the date of the update. We do not quietly delete mistakes.

How it is funded

Under the same rules as Erasmus Kit:

  • No affiliate links or commissions. We earn nothing by sending you to any website or for any place filled.
  • Landlords and lenders cannot advertise.
  • Sponsors are labelled as such and kept apart from the opportunities and the articles. How to sponsor or support Planet Erasmus.
  • Other possible sources: agreements with universities and public bodies, and training.

Privacy

This site uses no cookies, asks for no account and loads nothing from third parties: no ads, no trackers, no external fonts. We count visits with our own counter, which only keeps daily totals (how many visits, which site they come from, which pages are viewed), with no IP address or identifier. If your browser asks not to be tracked, nothing is counted.

Who makes it

Planet Erasmus is made in Valencia and run by Domenico Di Siena. We want to tell the story of exchange life from the inside too, with students who are abroad or already back.
